Privacy Policy

LocaleDB is a free, open-source reference site maintained by Mehmet Emin Özkürkçüler. There are no accounts, sign-ups or contact forms, and no personal data is sold or shared. This page explains the little that is processed when you visit.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages are visited and how fast they load. Neither uses cookies or identifies you personally: visitors are counted with an anonymised hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours, and Speed Insights records performance metrics such as load times together with the page, browser and device type.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address and browser user agent in order to deliver pages and protect the service. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.
Cookies and local storage
We set a single functional cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, to remember the language you picked; it expires when you close your browser. Your light or dark theme preference is kept in your browser's local storage. Neither is used for tracking or advertising.
Data export
When you use the export tool, your selection of datasets, entries and fields is sent to our server only to build the file you download. It is not stored or linked to you.
Your choices
You can block cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. The site keeps working; it just won't remember your language or theme. Content blockers that stop the analytics scripts are fine too.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will show the latest revision.
